“Way down yonder on the Chattahoochee…”

June 1

Those aren’t just pretty country music quotes, turns out there really is a Chattahoochee River.  How do I know? We stayed there last night and it was ”… hotter than a hoochee coochee.”  My apologies to those of you who don’t listen to country music and have no idea what I am talking about.

We took it easy today, relatively speaking.  Laundry and a battle between myself and the Cruise America “customer service personnel.” Needless to say, we are scheduled for an air conditioning repair first thing tomorrow morning. Yeah!

We left the Sunshine state tonight, but not before taking a slight detour to Jacksonville Beach.

We have entered Savannah, Georgia or as Aric puts it, “Gone with the Wind” territory.  Tomorrow we visit the Lady and Sons restaurant owned by none other than the great PAULA DEEN!  (She’s the “stick of butter” lady.) There just happens to be a store right next door, so if ANYONE has a request or order they’d like to put in, let me know.  I have a feeling I’ll be spending most of Aric’s retirement there.

Looks like some mighty cool water. The boys look like they are having a great time! How about the parents?
