Oh, give me a home where the buffalo roam…

Today we visited the Terry Bison Ranch in Cheyenne before beginning our trek to Yellowstone.

The first thing the boys wanted to do after we parked the RV? Climb on a really old piece of buffalo poop!

IMG_0108The train ride was really noisy and bumpy, but we did get to see and do some cool things. An ostrich,

llamas,

and a beefalo, which is half cow and half buffalo. No joke. I wonder what those burgers would taste like.

We bought a bag of buffalo feed before the tour began…

IMG_0112 And the boys had a great time feeding, whatever it was, to the buffalo.

IMG_0121  I was a little surprised at how close the buffalo came to the train, but no one seemed to mind; least of all Carter who tried to reach out and pet it.

IMG_0128 That was the highpoint of the train ride and we sat back and enjoyed to rest of the tour.

IMG_0135  Riley asked Aric if he could borrow his sunglasses…

IMG_0151Of course, what a stud muffin!

IMG_0152  Then it was off to get dressed up and take a family picture, cowboy style. Unfortunately, Carter would have nothing to do with it, so while the four of us posed pretty for the camera, he happily paraded about in his stylish digs.

IMG_0156We have stopped in Cody, WY for the night. Tomorrow we will check out the Buffalo Bill museum and then head up to Yellowstone for the next four days.
